Yelling + fog

Haunt cold is going around. It's a wonderful mix of coughing, runny nose and fatigue. Unfortunately I have all of that and much more. I think I have Haunt cold to the extreme, which means there will be no terrorizing guests for me tonight. Instead I am taking who knows how many medications (now including a prescribed one!) and using the time in between passing out to finish some last minute homework before I drag my tired body to class at 8am. I have learned several things about the common Haunt cold from my sad attempt at working Haunt last night.

- A runny nose + a mask is NOT fun.
-Breathing on guests that are being jerks is VERY amusing when you are sick because you have the satisfaction of knowing that justice will be carried out in a few days when they are sick as well. *evil grin*
-Scaring with no voice is not a good thing, so it helps to have a backup noise making device.
- All concepts of depth and distance become nonexistant when you have taken cold medication, so it is well advised that one increase their distance between you and guests because when one goes to click in their faces, you just might take a bit of skin with you. HAHA souveniers!
- When all else fails, give in to the sickness and stumble around screaming "ECOLI!" It is just as effective.

So yes.. in conclusion, being sick during haunt SUCKS and basically renders me useless for scaring people. I'm going to fall back into bed now and hope I miraculously get better by tomorrow morning.

Haunt Week 2 recap

Last night completed my first whole week of Haunt. I am pretty aclimated now with how streets works and my character is taking shape. I still have things I want to do with my costume but only my schedule will determine if I get to do them. I've had a lot of great scares and plenty of nightly chases through the gauntlet. I don't have a specific scare partner yet, but I have been spending a lot of time working with Two Face and Piper ("COFFEE!!!!"). Last night was the Grudge 2 premier at Knotts and Power 106 was giving away tickets as well, so the crowd was a rowdier than normal for a sunday, but I didn't have any real problems with anyone. I did scare these two chicks that must have been working the premier because they were wearing japanese school girl outfits with bloody make-up and were wearing grudge 2 passes. I'm behind in my homework, tired, sore and sick, but I'm having a lot of fun on CS, so I can't really complain. :-D
