Haunt 2007- My first night

I walked into knott's today nervous as hell. I had been working on a new costume for about two months and I was so worried that parts of it weren't going to get approved. But to my relief they loved everything! So tonight was the debut of the new and improved Honey Bee. I finally feel like I own this character. The mask is me in every way and my tunic and shoulder armor (www.DarkDreamsLeather.com) are so kick ass. I couldn't be happier! :-D

My body was so not ready for haunt though. I've been sitting in a class room or at my 13 hour/shift job all year long. Exercise? pfft... you're joking right? Well tonight was a big realization that I've got to step up my game because my body HURTS! My back pain from last haunt is back and I've got phantom bruises already.

But was it worth it? .......... OH YEA

Tonight was great! Even though it was Power 106 night the crowd was awesome. No problems at all! This was a night that really made me realize why I am a monster. I remembered everything I loved about being scared when I was a guest and tried to give the same experience. I wasn't in it today to make people cry or huddle in fear (don't get me wrong.. that's a HUGE BONUS!!), I just wanted to entertain people and give them what they came for. And everytime someone walked away with a laugh or a smile (after the scream of course!) it made my night so much better. My mood is 10 times better than it was last year and I'm really really enjoying this year so far. I hope the next 25 nights are all this great!
